The cozy bar with a log fire added warmth to our evenings, while the homemade breakfast options left us eager for more each morning.

The hotel is quirky with sensational breakfasts and knowledgeable staff. The room is tidy and unique with a great view. The location is unbeatable and quiet, 2 km from Church of st Hilda. No complaints, would recommend this place.

The staff were cute and friendly. The dining experience was excellent, with delicious meals and a cozy atmosphere. The room felt a bit dated and had some minor maintenance issues that could use attention.

We had a lovely stay for one night and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere with a great selection of beers and the delicious Steak Pie! The hotel also had a nice garden for relaxing and a small pet-friendly lounge area, which was perfect for unwinding. Just a heads-up, the bed was a bit uneven, but it didn't ruin our overall experience. 😊

The kids loved seeing all the wildlife, and it felt refreshing to have our large breed dog join us in such cozy surroundings. Breakfast with local produce was a good start to our day.

My kids wished for a better play area outside, something to keep them entertained while we relaxed.

The location is ideal for exploring the area, with a charming village nearby and easy access to the train station. The unique food presentation, such as the good cheese tray and fresh milk in the room, added a lovely touch to our experience.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the food was amazin, especially the breakfast which was yum! Loved the quirky decor in the hotel, also the location was perf for a stroll by the river, and that extra bread and cheese in the room was a nice surprise.

the menu was a bit limited if ur stay is longer, and the room coulda been bigger for the price.

I appreciated the cute atmosphere and excellent food , made exploring the nearby st hedde's rc church and thomason foss wood more fun since they were just a short walk away.
